Program Description
The Department of Economics at ASU provides the highest quality instruction to students, conducts innovative research and provides leadership and service to its professional communities. ASU is ranked No. 35 among global universities for economics and business (U.S. News & World Report, 2023--2024).
The Bachelor of Science in economics degree is built on a strong core of micro- and macroeconomic theory supplemented by mathematics, statistics and data analysis. The flexibility of the BS degree enables students to supplement their study of economics with elective coursework offered by The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences to broaden their knowledge and customize their program to suit individual goals and interests.

Global Experience
The world is increasingly interconnected, and study abroad enables students to explore economics in other countries while developing in-demand professional skills, such as cross-cultural communication and problem-solving.
