Best practices when using video backgrounds

• Compress the video
  Use 720p resolution or less, 24 frames per second and a low bitrate. A good target would be a video file under 10MB. Use a 16:9 aspect ratio.
• Shorten the video
  Make the video less than 20 seconds. Most visitors will not stop to watch the video play through to the end and this will help reduce file size.
• Loop the video
  Make the video transition as seamless as possible to avoid jarring visuals. 
• Remove audio
  Auto-playing background videos should be silent, with the audio completely removed from the file to save on size.
• Contrast
  Ensure the video contrasts with the content overlaid on it. In the case of a white text overlay, the video should be dark enough to read the text clearly throughout the video.
  
  Note: video backgrounds are disabled on mobile devices to improve end user performance and save bandwidth

How to add video backgrounds to your page

1. On the edit tab of a landing page, click add row
2. Select the Media Background row
3. Click the Upload video tab within the Media Background settings
4. Give the video a name (only used for admin purposes) and select the video file from your computer with the Choose file button
5. Scroll down and click the green Upload button
6. You can now add any additional content on top of the video with the blue Add content button.
